1. the internet is your grand notepad. scribble everywhere.
2. you’re not special. this is a very, very good thing. people who feel special suffer extensively to maintain the special-feeling. you are just another echo in this series of caves we’re all stepping in and out of. this is a very, very good thing.
3. check your energy before posting. does it feel desperate and reaching? or does it feel expansive, exciting, dreamy even? fully honor the latter, throw your phone and run in the opposite direction if it’s the former.
4. do not chase your wins of the past. your audience is growing with you, too. yes, my memes about dating as an early-twenties-LA-baby-with-a-cause were highly loved. but i’m not lingering in that hall anymore, and neither is the person who fell in love with my work when i was.
5. long-form content will enhance your short-form content. fix your attention span every time you catch it dwindling. if you can’t make it through an indie film that never shifts in tone, if you can’t get through a book that you promised, if your mind wanders during an interview with your number one, take it seriously. force that stillness again until your body says “oh, this is the pace we’re going?” and adjusts accordingly.
6. surround yourself with internet-sharers just like you, so you never feel alone. not everyone has the urge to share in the public sphere, and the worst of those will shame you for it.
7. drink your water and do your exercises. remember the existence of your body. to share online is to assume the position of a radio tower, an open channel, an electric charge bouncing around in space. extra grounding may be needed.

surrounding myself with fellow sharers changed the trajectory of my creative process. we all publicly share, we all publicly purge, we all revel and encourage the practice of it. community!
I want to be friends w ppl who desire to share and be honest and create like I desire
